About Us
Who are we and where did we come from? We’re a young, ambitious family who were fortunate enough to be born and bred in Gippsland, Victoria.
Having started our own family we soon learnt that riding young horses and rearing calves was no longer viable with 2 young children at foot and a partner working unpredictable shift work.
With over a decade of experience in Country and Western Clothing, we saw the opportunity to open a store in Maffra, Victoria which is at the heart of a campdraft, rodeo, and dairy farming district.
Why the name? "Billy Goats" pays homage to the famous "Billy Goats Track" which is the steepest 4WD track in Victoria and located 2.5 hours North of Maffra. We spend all of our spare time camping, hunting, fishing and horse riding in the Victorian High Country so we found it fitting.
Why do we do it? Our passion is customer service and we enjoy assisting customers with an informed purchase. We believe in stocking quality products in a variety of sizes. We have jeans in short leg lengths through to extra long leg lengths, tops from XXS to 5XL and boots from a size 5 all the way up to a 14, with the opportunity to make special/bulk orders for customers when needed.
It also helps that we love it! We enjoy seeing regular faces and having a yarn with the locals, and it allows the kids to come to work with us out of the elements.
