Directions for Use
- Gently place the measuring tool in your horse’s mouth where the bit would normally sit.
- Position it against one corner of the mouth without pressing into or compressing the lips.
- Keep the tool level and read the measurement at the opposite corner.
- Record the mouth width in millimetres.
- Check the fitting guidance for your chosen bit’s cheekpiece and mouthpiece design before selecting a size.
- Clean the tool after use.
Please note: This tool measures mouth width only. Mouthpiece thickness must be selected separately to suit your horse’s mouth. Check the sizing guidance for your specific bit before allowing additional clearance.
